The opportunity

TiG/ThirdSpace is an award-winning cyber security and cloud managed service provider. We offer a complete suite of digital services based on Microsoft technology for organisations that require secure, modern working and digital transformation.

We have big ambitions for growth over the coming years and are looking for a Junior Copywriter to join our Marketing team. You’ll work closely with our Copywriter, marketing, and other teams across the business to implement a content strategy and plan.

This is an entry-level role that would suit a graduate looking for their first copywriting position, or someone in the early stages of their career who wishes to develop or progress in a content role within the technology industry.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Researching and writing content, including news articles, blogs, case studies, newsletters, emails, infographics, and internal communication materials.
  • Working with the marketing team to develop a 12-month content plan, and to help implement the plan on a monthly basis.
  • Writing or re-writing content for email marketing campaigns.
  • Liaising with relevant teams and subject experts across the business to gather information and/or seek final approval on drafts.
  • Ensuring all copy is well written, logically structured, and grammatically and factually correct.
  • Proofreading content and documents to ensure they are error-free.
  • Publishing content on the company website (WordPress CMS).
  • Obtaining relevant imagery to accompany articles, blogs, case studies, etc. – ensuring adherence to copyright rules.
  • Working with in-house and external design resources to produce graphics/designs to accompany content, such as infographics and illustrations.
  • Attending weekly marketing meetings and providing an update on content progress and highlighting any issues.
  • Assisting with other general marketing duties as and when required.

The experience we’re looking for:

  • A graduate with a relevant degree in English, Journalism, or Creative Writing. Alternatively, 1-2 years’ experience in a similar copywriting role.
  • The ability to show a portfolio/examples of writing. This could be from previous roles, work experience, internships, university projects, etc.
  • Experience in adapting a content approach and tone of voice for different audiences.
  • Knowledge of SEO content principles would be an advantage, as would experience writing for the technology sector.
  • Experience using a WordPress Content Management System (CMS) and Adobe Creative Cloud would be an advantage but not essential.

The type of person we’re looking for:

  • A team player with the ability to also work on your own initiative.
  • A flair and passion for writing that captures the attention and connects with the reader.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to spot typos and errors.
  • Highly organised with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • A genuine interest in technology.

What we’re offering:

  • Salary up to £20,000 (depending on experience).
  • Bonus scheme.
  • Flexibility (including a mixture of home and office-based working).
  • Company pension scheme.
  • Life assurance.
  • Income protection.
  • Company laptop.
  • Training opportunities.
  • Cycle to work scheme.
